Limerick City College English Language School offers full-time and part-time exam preparatory programmes all year round for students who wish to take the Cambridge PET,FCE, CAE and IELTS Examinations.
The Cambridge KET, PET, FCE and CAE Preparation programmes are intensive 25 week courses which consist of 15-20 lessons per week. All our teachers are experienced in examination preparation and students are encouraged to use the facilities on offer in the college for additional examination preparation.
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to examine your ability to work, study, or live in an English speaking environment. It tests your ability to read, write, listen and speak in academic or general contexts. IELTS is used frequently to ascertain a student’s ability to study in an English speaking university, or to work and live in an English speaking environment.
The Preparation for IELTS Programme runs for 25 weeks and is available throughout the year. Classes take place every week Tuesday to Friday, where students receive an additional 90 minutes IELTS exam preparation on Fridays.
Students may be admitted to a course after a start date provided that space is available.
