Admissions Criteria & Progression

Limerick City College has clear admissions criteria for programmes which enable students to successfully engage with their programme of study. These criteria and entry requirements are specified within the college prospectuses and additional information is available from reception.

Important Notes:

  1. Limerick City College registers students for the relevant end-of-programme exam(s) and retains records of exam registration and, where possible, results, for a three year period; and
  2. Limerick City College seeks to ensure a good linguistic mix in the class / provides a student profile to facilitate language learning opportunities;
  3. Limerick City College ensures Non-EEA student progression across programmes. This requires that Non-EEA students are not enrolled on a second consecutive programme at the same or lower exit level than the first programme on which they were enrolled as a visa-required student.
